The cost for the open water referral is $340 and includes 4 open water checkout dives, onsite instruction and completion of the referral form.

A refresher course, advanced open water certification for qualified divers as well as a Nitrox certification are also available during the week. Please contact torp.klaus@mayo.edu for details.

Personal dive gear can be rinsed and left on the boat for the week.

The boat crew does a phenomenal job and a tip of $10 per diver per day for the boat crew at the end of the week is appreciated but is of course up to each individual.

Small USD bills are very handy for tips and may not be available from the hotel in sufficient quantities. Taxi cabs are everywhere, clean and safe and have fixed prices for most destinations. They are best paid in Pesos as the exchange rate is up to the cab drivers and prices in USD should best be asked for in advance.
