Target Audience
This course is designed for nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, physicians, pharmacists, residents, fellows, and allied health professionals.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Understand indications, contraindications, and complications of central venous access.
- Identify anatomical landmarks and ultrasound-guided techniques for internal jugular, subclavian, and femoral access.
- Demonstrate sterile technique and procedural setup.
- Perform ultrasound-guided central line placement on simulation models.
- Troubleshoot common challenges and complications.
