Core content areas include nerve conduction study methodology and interpretation; needle EMG technique and waveform analysis; neuromuscular ultrasound of peripheral nerves, muscle, and respiratory structures; and interpretation of normal and abnormal EEG findings. The curriculum emphasizes practical application, including recognition of technical limitations and common interpretive pitfalls, and integration of neurophysiologic data into clinical decision-making for patients with peripheral nerve and neuromuscular disorders, epilepsy, and other central nervous system conditions. Didactic sessions are reinforced through structured live demonstrations and hands-on learning experiences in nerve conduction studies, needle EMG, neuromuscular ultrasound, and EEG interpretation to enhance skill acquisition and clinical competence.
