NPs and PAs play a vital role in the care of hospitalized patients. This conference focuses on providing the most up-to-date, evidence-based guidelines and treatment pathways necessary to optimally care for hospitalized patients. Content is applicable to physicians, NPs, PAs, pharmacists, advanced practice nurses and RNs, from novice to experienced.

Learners are invited to submit abstracts on NP/PA/MD practice, education, research, or quality improvement initiatives for presentation at the course. This includes original research, case reports, quality improvement initiatives, and other professional development. All course attendees will have access to view the chosen posters. We ask that at least one poster author be a registered learner for the course (live or livestream). Authors who are not registered for the course will not be able to claim CME credit as they are not attending.

Abstract submissions are due by Jan 4, 2027 and poster presenters will be notified of acceptance and receive additional details by January 18, 2027. Please note that the cut off for hotel reservations is January 26, 2027 or until the block sells out, whichever occurs first.  Abstracts can be submitted here.

Target Audience

This course is designed for hospitalists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, advance practice nurses, registered nurses, allied health professionals, physicians and residents.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Review strategies to navigate complex ethical dilemmas in hospitalized patients.
  • Explain the most recent guidelines for the evaluation of angina in hospitalized patients.
  • Explore the variety of renal diseases in the hospital setting.
  • Discuss the evaluation and management of patients with thrombocytopenia
