This course delivers education on multiple topics including interventional electrophysiology, cardiac disease and pregnancy, and surgical interventions as they pertain to the management of congenital heart disease in adults. Faculty use multiple teaching delivery methods to include interactive didactic presentations, case studies presentations, panel presentations, and interactive Q&A. The course provides a thorough overview of atrial septal defects, Ebstein’s anomaly, Tetralogy of Fallot, coronary anomalies, and aortopathy in adult congenital heart disease.

Cardiologists, Family Medicine Practitioners, OB/GYN, Residents/Fellows, Advanced Practice Providers.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the clinical presentation and investigation of atrial level shunts, including atrial septal defect and partial anomalous pulmonary venous connections.
  • Recognize the clinical presentation and investigation of Ebstein’s anomaly of the tricuspid valve, including arrhythmia.
  • Recognize the clinical presentation and investigation of native and repaired Tetralogy of Fallot, including postoperative sequelae and arrhythmia.
  • Review the clinical presentation and investigation of congenitally anomalous coronary arteries.
  • Apply the indications for surgical and interventional correction of Ebstein’s anomaly of the tricuspid valve.
  • Recognize the clinical presentation and investigation of congenitally anomalous coronary arteries.
