Personalized Interrogation of the Human Epigenome

PRESENTER BIO
Dr. Patnaik is a hematologist with a special interest in epigenetic dysregulation seen in premalignant clonal hematopoiesis and in hematological malignancies.  Dr. Patnaik specifically focuses on clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP) and on chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML), exploring the genetic and epigenetic landscape and trying to find individualized treatment options for these conditions. Dr. Patnaik is the director of the Mayo Clinic Center for Individualized Medicine Epigenomics Program and the Epigenetics Developmental Laboratory (EDL).

LEARNING OBJECTIVES 
After the presentation, attendees will be able to:
 
•Define Epigenetics and chromatin biology
•Describe techniques and measures to assess chromatin biology and epigenetic alterations
•Summarize examples of applicability in clinical practice for diagnosis, prognosis and therapeutics
