Mayo Clinic’s 2024 Critical Care APP Specialty Days is a continuing education course covering common diagnostic and management issues faced by APPs in intensive care units. This course contains both a didactic and lab/skills session. Please note, the didactic portion is offered once per year, the lab/skills session is offered four times per year - twice in April and twice in November.
Target Audience
Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Recognize anatomic landmarks in the approach when completing ultrasound guided procedures.
- Identify utility of bedside point of care ultrasound imaging.
- Recognize changes in ICU care delivery models from past, present and future.
- Identify the benefits that the nurse practitioner or physician assistant brings to the ICU care team.
