This two-day live course for healthcare professionals is an interactive, immersive training experience in cultural humility and its applications in healthcare delivery. Attendees learn respectful approaches for engaging Native communities that bridge cultural divides and address barriers to healthcare access and treatment adherence to improve patient outcomes and experience for all.

Target Audience
This course is designed for allied health professionals, healthcare executives, general internists, nurse practitioners, nurses, physicians, physician assistants, psychologists, residents, social workers, students, as well as community health partners, university faculty, and nonprofit and government employees.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
• Define cultural humility and its importance in healthcare delivery.
• Identify respectful approaches for engaging with Native communities that bridge cultural divides.
• Demonstrate practical skills to enhance communication and trust with Native patients and foster a more inclusive healthcare experience.
• Identify ways to improve patient outcomes by addressing cultural barriers to healthcare access and patient engagement.
• Demonstrate ways to integrate cultural competence into daily clinical practice.

Check-in time is 4:00 p.m.; check-out time is 11:00 a.m.
Parking: Complimentary Self-parking is available in the city-owned parking ramp.
All reservations must be accompanied by a first night room deposit or guaranteed with a major credit card. If a guest does not cancel a reservation within 48 hours before 4:00PM of the guest’s check-in date, then Hotel may charge the credit card one night’s room fee plus any applicable taxes.
