Mayo Clinic Health System presents the fourth annual, Transforming Community, Regional, and Rural Healthcare continuing education conference. This two-day symposium brings together multidisciplinary healthcare leaders, providers, administrators, researchers, and educators to discuss critical issues impacting community, reginal, and rural health systems and the patients they serve. The course includes interactive sessions enabling participants to directly apply new transformative approaches to community and rural health settings.

Interactive sessions focus on collaborative partnerships that advance:

• Financial Stability
• Population Health
• Workforce

 

Now Accepting Abstracts for Breakouts, Podium Presentations, and Posters

Transforming Community, Regional, and Rural Healthcare is now accepting proposals for 45‑minute interactive breakouts,  ~30‑minute podium presentations, and in‑person posters for the 2026 course (October 12–13).

Submissions should align with one or more themes: Access; Artificial Intelligence & Digital Transformation; Cancer Care; Financial Stability; Population Health; Workforce.
All proposals may include previously presented or published work (with sufficient modification as needed).

Posters
Posters will be displayed throughout the entire conference; however, presenters are only required to be present at their poster during the poster session and reception on Monday evening. Each poster must have at least one representative registered to attend the conference in person. A registration discount code will be provided to one presenter per poster.

Submission Deadline: April 15, 2026
Maximum: 500 words per submission
A profile and online submission form are required.

We welcome research, community-engaged solutions, project-based work, and innovative ideas that support the future of community and rural healthcare.

Target Audience

This symposium is designed for allied health professionals, healthcare executives, general internists, nurse practitioners, nurses, physicians, physician assistants, professors, residents, students as well as, community health partners, university faculty, and non-profit and government employees.
