The pre-course works consist of an ultrasound workshop and a procedural skills workshop. These workshops provide both introductory and advanced concepts in ultrasound, airway management, and bedside procedures necessary for daily practice in an intensive care setting.
Target Audience
This course is designed for nurse practitioners, physician assistants, hospital and intensive care physicians and residents, registered nurses, allied health professionals, respiratory therapists, and NP/PA students in acute care.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Demonstrate ultrasonographic image acquisition and interpretation of cardiac, lung, abdominal, and vascular images.
- Demonstrate the ability to perform the following procedures: central vascular access, endotracheal intubation, bronchoscopy, cricothyrotomy, and percutaneous tracheotomy.
