Target Audience

The intended audience are dermatologists, surgeons, oncologists, physicians, NPs and PAs in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine and General Practice.
 

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

DERMOSCOPY

  • Apply pattern analysis and simple algorithms for the identification of skin neoplasms, benign and malignant
  • Identify and differentiate melanocytic from non-melanocytic lesions using dermoscopy
  • Describe uses of dermoscopy outside the discipline of cutaneous malignancy, including inflammatory disorders

MELANOMA AND SQUAMOUS CELL CANCER

  • Describe how to approach skin cancer in adults in general and in special circumstances
  • Describe how to approach skin lesions in children
  • Describe and compare biopsy techniques and indications
  • Cite novel approaches for the treatment of squamous cell cancer and Melanoma, including intralesional
