Mayo Clinic's 96th Annual Clinical Reviews seeks to update primary care providers on the latest recommendations involving medical subspecialties. The course provides a comprehensive program of lectures on topics of general interest in medicine, surgery, and pediatrics relevant to clinical practice.
This course also offers an optional pre-course ABFM Knowledge Self-Assessment session the preceding Sunday, November 6, 2022. Available at registration.
Target Audience
This course is designed for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses practicing in primary care, family medicine, and internal medicine.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Formulate new treatment options for the management of patients with migraine headaches
- Describe the interventions that are most likely to prevent cerebral vascular disease
- Recognize abnormal pediatric growth and development and when to intervene
- Integrate skills for a proper upper extremity examination and diagnosis
- Review the appropriate immunizations administered to children and adults for protection against preventable, infectious diseases
- Describe alternative interventions and treatment options to opioids
- Describe updated recommendations for blood pressure goals
- Identify and assess adolescents with eating disorders

Travel
Rochester, Minnesota, is a friendly city that greets thousands of visitors from around the world each year. The city is serviced by a modern international airport with multiple flights and connections daily. Access to and from the airport is provided by taxi, shuttle service, and rental car. The airport is located approximately 10 miles from the Mayo Clinic campus.
Note to Travelers: Several cities in the United States are named Rochester. When you make airline reservations and check your baggage, be sure that your destination is Rochester, Minnesota (RST) and that your baggage has been properly tagged.
Flying through the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport (MSP) is another option. There are two shuttle services that provide direct service to Mayo Clinic and the surrounding area. Travel time is approximately 75 minutes.

ABIM Maintenance of Certification
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 19.50 medical knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
Participation information will be shared with ABIM through PARS.
AAPA
Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 19.50 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.
ANCC
Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science designates this activity for a maximum of 19.50 ANCC contact hours. Nurses should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
