Meaning and Medicine is an immersive continuing medical education experience designed to rejuvenate and inspire your sense of purpose in medicine. This year’s conference subtitle – Sanctuary, Renewal, Growth – expresses both a need and intention. Busy physicians need deliberate spaces for reflection, extended conversation, rest and refreshment. That can start by taking the effort to get away (sanctuary), and then deliberately engaging nature, art, activities and other inefficient facets of our shared humanity (renewal) so that the possibility to rediscover joy and fulfillment in work or to have the courage to find them elsewhere. Whether you're feeling burned out, considering a career shift, or simply seeking renewal, this retreat is tailored for you in an unforgettable, bucolic setting. Each day offers opportunities to talk, listen, reflect, and think deeply in a breathtaking, casual environment all while earning continuing medical education credit hours.

In beautiful Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, you’ll connect with faculty and embrace a transformative journey that will send you into the end of 2026 with fresh perspective and empower concrete life change in 2027.
