October 9- 10, 2024 - Mayo Clinic - Rochester, Minnesota
This two-day intensive course familiarizes the clinician with all the aspects of tuberculosis infection, disease and clinical care using an interdisciplinary and interactive approach. The curriculum is provided through lecture and interactive case management sessions. The faculty is selected for their unique skills in encouraging interaction and building rapport with participants. The atmosphere is relaxed with an expectation that a free exchange of questions, comments and information occur.
Note: Unfortunately, meals will not be provided during the conference due to our grant-funding restrictions. There are several options close to the venue and we will have recommendations in our conference program.

Allied Health Professional, Nurse, Physician, Resident/Fellow, Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacist, Public Health & Infectious Disease MDs, RNs, Pharm.D., Public Health Professionals, and Laboratory Technologists
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify unique considerations for children with tuberculosis.
- Recognize appropriate treatment plans for drug-resistant tuberculosis.
- Identify first-line therapy for drug-susceptible tuberculosis.
- Recall strategies for managing adverse drug reactions in TB patients.
- Identify advanced diagnostic strategies for the detection of M. tuberculosis.
- Recognize treatment challenges for TB patients with comorbidities (e.g., diabetes, HIV)
- List adherence strategies as part of a TB case management plan.
