Call for Speakers

We are now accepting proposals centered around “real-world” perspectives and applicable strategies that highlight unique insights, success stories, lessons learned, and community-engaged solutions. Proposals should highlight how health systems, community organizations, educational programs, research teams, public service groups, and others are collaborating to overcome challenges, accelerate innovation, and scaling transformation in community and rural healthcare settings.

Themes | Proposals should address one or more of the following themes within community and rural healthcare:

  • Collaborative Partnerships
  • Workforce of the Future
  • Rural Cancer Care
  • Digital Health and Artificial Intelligence
  • Behavioral Health
  • Health Equity
  • Public Policy
  • Financial Stability

Presentation Formats | Submitters must select one of the three presentation formats below. The Planning Committee will make the final decision regarding presentation format and will communicate the assigned format in the notification of acceptance.

  • Community Engaged Solutions - Submissions within this category tell a story of community collaborations to help improve the health and wellness of local communities. Whether it is a local health education program, a grassroots intervention, or a partnership between healthcare providers and community organizations, we want to hear about it. Share your success stories and help highlight how community engagement is key to creating equitable and impactful healthcare solutions.
  • Interactive Workshops - Workshops are 90-minute interactive sessions during which presenters serve as facilitators leading dynamic and engaging conversations on a specific topic related to one of the symposium themes. Workshops must be largely comprised of interactive components such as table-top discussions, small group brainstorming, activity-based problem-solving, etc. Didactic components should be kept to no more than 10% of the allotted time. Workshops should facilitate collaborative learning of practical knowledge, skills, or strategies that participants can apply within their local contexts.
  • Research & Innovation - Submissions in this category should convey knowledge gained through scientific methods addressing one or more of the symposium themes. Ideal presentations will deliver content that is novel and practical, demonstrating translational value to course participants. Submissions will be accepted for oral or poster presentation format. Presenters may indicate preference for presentation format; however, the Planning Committee will make the final determination for each accepted submission.

All submissions are due on June 1, 2024.
