Join Mayo Clinic Health System for an inaugural community and rural health symposium bringing together multidisciplinary health care leaders to discuss critical issues impacting the health and wellness of community and rural populations. Focus sessions, panels, and workshops throughout the day will explore disruptive approaches to healthcare delivery and workforce development in rural communities including digital health, artificial intelligence, and workforce innovations.
Workforce Innovation Submission
We invite submissions describing workforce development innovations to be presented as rapid-fire vignettes within a Workforce Innovations Story Slam session. Innovations are short communications delivered in a standardized format to facilitate adoption by others. Using the submission link below, please provide innovation title, brief background including the workforce development problem addressed, innovation description, outcomes (achieved or anticipated), and three concise tips to help others deploy a similar innovation within their own practice settings. Presenters must register for the conference and complete their submission on or before June 16, 2023.

We invite abstracts describing research, quality improvement, education initiatives, and/or other innovations within community and rural health. Using the submission form below, please provide title, brief background, objective, method, innovation or project description, outcomes (achieved or anticipated), and conclusion. Presenters must register for the conference and complete their submission on or before June 16, 2023.

Target Audience
This symposium is designed for allied health professionals, healthcare executives, general internists, nurse practitioners, nurses, physicians, physician assistants, professors, residents and students.
Any health professional or learner interested in rural healthcare delivery, challenges, and opportunities, as well as those interested in the field of public health should plan to attend.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Examine the impact of socioeconomic, geographic, and technological disparities on the health and wellness of community and rural populations.
- Explore disruptive approaches to healthcare delivery and workforce development within community and rural settings including digital health, artificial intelligence, and workforce innovations.
- Identify skills to adapt transformative approaches to community and rural health practice.
