Join us for an engaging hands-on session that will includes NRP techniques and an overview of the use of the OCS system! This workshop offers a unique opportunity to work with realistic models, guiding you through essential skills for successful understanding various NRP techniques, as well as the practical application of the OCS system in a clinical setting.
In this session, you will:
- Demonstrate the technical aspects of the OCS system, including a discussion of the device's technological features.
- Understand how organ monitoring functions operate on the OCS device and gain insights into its application outside of normal clinical practice.
- Walk through abdominal cannulation as well as review “tips and tricks” to cannulation and pump management.
You’ll also learn valuable “tips and tricks” for both cannulation and pump management, making this session a must for anyone looking to start or enhance an NRP program, or for those involved in the NRP recovery process.
Target Audience
This course is intended for members of the hepatology community and will be of interest to hepatologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, internists, primary care physicians and other specialists who participate in the care of patients with hepatology disorders and liver transplants.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Formulate surgical techniques associated with liver transplantation.
- Integrate effective collaboration among various healthcare professionals involved in liver transplantation.
- Recognize common posttransplant complications.
- Analyze ethical dilemmas related to organ transplantation within the regulatory framework.
- Apply evidence-based strategies in the diagnostic workup of patients with suspected cholangiopathy.
