Mayo Clinic Gastroenterology and Hepatology 2019 is designed to update health care providers practicing in gastroenterology and hepatology about new approaches to the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal and liver diseases. This course is designed for practicing gastroenterologists, surgeons, GI fellows, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, individuals specializing in gastrointestinal endoscopy, and primary care physicians with an interest in gastroenterology.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Recognize common causes for drug induced liver injury.
- Identify current treatment options for HCV treatment.
- Summarize various treatment options for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
- Discuss various guidelines for the management and surveillance of pancreatic cysts.
- Describe treatment options for C. difficile infection.
- Review dietary and medical management of eosinophilic esophagitis.
- Summarize treatment approaches to irritable bowel syndrome.
- Describe new techniques and tools for endoscopic hemostasis.

The Westin Kierland Resort has reserved a block of luxurious rooms for course participants and guests at a special group rate of $319 (USD), per room, per night, single or double occupancy, plus applicable state and local taxes in effect at the time of check-in. Children younger than 17 years of age staying in an adult’s room are complimentary. Third or fourth adult person rates are $50. Complimentary guest room internet (wireless or hard wired) is included in the group rate. Group rates will apply three days prior to and three days after the course dates, based on group room availability.

Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
