The 2024 Mayo Clinic Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary Cancer Symposium provides a multidisciplinary overview of the importance of early diagnosis and treatment considerations, including surgery, radiation, loco-regional approaches, and systemic therapies. Nationally and internationally renowned faculty offer state-of-the-art updates on current treatment options for patients with hepato-pancreatico-biliary cancers. Target Audience
This course is intended for surgeons, gastroenterologists, medical and radiation oncologists, laboratory scientists, and allied health professionals in the following specialties: medical oncology, hematology, gastroenterology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, pathology, radiology, and laboratory research science.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe clinical guidelines for the management of early-stage HCC to optimize patient outcomes.
- Identify the multidisciplinary approach for the perioperative management of patients undergoing liver transplantation for ICC.
- Describe the role of neoadjuvant therapy in the treatment of gallbladder carcinoma (GBC).
- Identify challenges in the management of localized liver disease.
- Summarize the role of FLR hypertrophy techniques in optimizing outcomes for patients with hepatobiliary malignancies.
- Describe the role of adjuvant therapy in the treatment of gallbladder carcinoma (GBC).
