Learning Objectives – Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:     

  • Identify surgical options in patients with inflammatory bowel disease
  • Compare outcomes between patients undergoing IPAA vs end ileostomy
  • Determine the best operation for each patient presenting with IBD
  • Evaluate the available data in order to make the best surgical decision for the patient
