Mayo Clinic's 28th Annual Hematology/Oncology Reviews 2018 in Amelia Island, Florida is a comprehensive review of hematology/oncology that focuses on the application of new clinical and research advancements and developments over the preceding year. The most important clinical management questions in hematology/oncology will be addressed in highly interactive sessions. Attendees will leave with up-to-date, practical information which will have immediate clinical application. Attendees are encouraged to bring portable computer devices to view the syllabus on the course website. It is strongly encouraged that you download the syllabus from the website prior to the course. 19th Annual Fellows Research Poster Presentation
As part of the 28th Annual Mayo Clinic Hematology/Oncology Reviews course, the 19th Annual Fellows Research Poster Presentation session for presentation of original research dedicated to the field of hematology/oncology will be held at the meeting on August 2, 2018. Submitted abstracts may include ongoing clinical trials in hematology/oncology, outcome studies, quality improvement or practice innovations, and interesting or challenging case reports. Posters will be peer-reviewed. The submission deadline for abstracts is Friday, June 1, 2018. At least one of the authors must attend the conference. Submissions should come from current fellows.

Target Audience
This course is designed for practicing hematologists, medical oncologists, scientists, researchers, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists and clinical research associates.
Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
• List new practice-changing developments in hematology and medical oncology in 2017-2018.
• Select the appropriate clinical conditions in oncology and hematology where new treatments were developed in 2017 and 2018.
• Identify risks and benefits of new treatments approved by the FDA.
• Describe the most important management issues in hematology/oncology and select the best treatments based on current evidence.

The Ritz-Carlton is offering coastal view hotel rooms for attendees and their guests at the group rate of $269 per night plus applicable taxes. In order to receive the special rate, identify yourself as a participant of the “Mayo Clinic Hematology/Oncology Reviews” or register online. Reservations must be made by Sunday, June 10, 2018 or before the room block is filled, whichever comes first. There is limited guest room availability at the special rates; early reservations are based on availability. The standard hotel reservations cancellation policy will apply to all reservations. Attendees are responsible for their own reservations. Guests receive complimentary in-room internet service. Rooms are limited so we encourage early booking. All parking at the resort is provided by valet service. Overnight parking at the resort is $14 per night. Day guest parking is complimentary. Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) is located 35 minutes from The Ritz-Carlton at Amelia Island.
