This program provides NPs and PAs with cutting-edge information on caring for patients in oncology, hematology, and blood and marrow transplant for the novice and seasoned provider and features:
- Approximately 10.25 hours pharmacology content (6.5 hourse for general session, 3.75 hours for workshop)
- Infectious Disease Pre-Conference Workshop
- Panel Q&A sessions to address real world problems encountered in daily practice
- Lunchtime topical networking tables with clinical expert faculty
- Wine and cheese networking event on Saturday evening

Target Audience
This course is designed for nurse practitioners, physician assistants, advance practice nurses, nurses, allied health professionals with and interest in hematology, oncology and blood and marrow transplant.
Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Assemble and integrate new knowledge and research findings into the evaluation and treatment of Heme/Onc/BMT patients.
- Summarize current trends and describe new updates in Pancreatic, Biliary, and Rectal Cancers.
- Describe and apply the latest updates in treatment of Melanoma.
- Describe and apply principles of managing venous thromboembolism (VTE) in cancer patients.
- Summarize updates in treatment of ALL and CLL and recognize common side effects of newer medications.
- Demonstrate improved proficiency in interpretation of chest X-rays, CT scans, and PET scans.
- Identify and implement the most appropriate management of chemotherapy induced nausea/vomiting and chemotherapy induced peripheral neuropathy.
- Understand and implement strategies for engaging in difficult conversations with cancer patients and their families.
- Describe the latest updates in treatment of GVHD.
- Identify and initiate appropriate evaluation and treatment of oncologic emergencies.

Access to and from the airport is provided by taxi, shuttle service, and rental car. The airport is located approximately 10 miles from the Mayo Clinic campus.
