Acute and Chronic Leukemias 2019 - General Session

This two-day symposium will review current diagnostic and treatment standards for acute and chronic leukemias. Interactive case presentations will feature panels of experts weighing in on pivotal treatment issues. Sessions will highlight standards of care, as well as new and emerging treatments, side effects of treatments, and any pertinent clinical issues of a specific diagnosis. A keynote address on CAR T-Cell Therapies will be provided by Januario Castro, M.D.
Topics include: Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, Myelodysplastic Syndrome, Acute Myeloid Leukemia, and Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
The second day of the symposium will feature didactic sessions to address updates in: Acute and Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, Myeloproliferative Neoplasms, Myelodysplastic Syndromes, Acute Myeloid Leukemia, Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, Palliative Care, and Pathology issues in this population.

Target Audience
This course is designed for Physicians, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Fellows, and Residents in the following specialties: Hematology/Oncology, Internal Medicine, Hospital Medicine, Hematopathology, and Medical Oncology.
Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Demonstrate treatments for newly diagnosed and relapsed Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia.
- Describe outcomes of patients with relapsed Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia.
- Recognize when to use IDH-1 and IDH-2 inhibitors in Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
- Describe what minimal residual disease testing is and how to apply it.
- Recognize therapeutic use of CAR-T Cell Therapy.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:
