This course will provide an overview of the most recent advances in the management of patients with early and advanced stage breast cancer. Topics include imaging, radiation therapy, brain metastases, genomic testing, systemic therapy and survivorship. The course is intended to provide practical, evidence-based information on clinically relevant issues for physicians and allied health personnel involved in patient care. The didactic format will provide significant opportunities for interaction with the expert faculty and other attendees via interactive keypad systems, case presentations, panel discussions, and open question and answer sessions.

Call for Abstracts
Overview: As part of the “Advances in Breast Cancer Management 2018” course, a poster session for presentation of original research dedicated to the field of management of patients with early and advanced stage breast cancer will be held. These may include challenging cases (i.e., case reports) of those encountered in clinical practice. Abstracts that pertain to any breast cancer topic including imaging, radiation therapy, brain metastases, genomic testing, systemic therapy and survivorship are welcome. Posters will be chosen from all abstracts received by the Friday, January 12, 2018 submission deadline.
Abstract Eligibility: Original abstracts that either have or have not been presented at other meetings will be considered for this conference based on the merits of the work. Abstracts based upon published papers based will also be considered. Number of Entries: A participant may be the primary author on no more than two abstracts; however, he or she may be a contributing author on any number of abstracts. Deadline: Abstract submission deadline is Friday, January 12, 2018.
Notification of Results: All primary authors will be notified by email no later than Friday, January 19, 2018 if their submission has been selected for the electronic poster session, and details regarding poster set-up will follow. Accepted abstract recipients must still register for the meeting to attend.

This course is designed for medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, oncology nurses, and health care professionals involved in cancer care. Also of interest to general internal medicine physicians who may want to enhance their oncologic knowledge.
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Recognize the role of the immune system in the fight against breast cancer and review novel immunotherapies
- Identify state-of-the-art treatment strategies for women with early stage breast cancer
- Identify state-of-the-art treatment strategies for women with metastatic breast cancer
- Employ best practices and symptom management for breast cancer survivors
- Discuss clinical controversies and challenges in the treatment of breast cancer
