The Mayo Clinic Hematology & Medical Oncology Practice Updates and Board Review course is designed to provide attendees with up-to-date, practical information and best practices that can be applied immediately into daily clinical practice.  In addition, the high-yield program content prepares candidates for the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) initial and maintenance of certification examinations in hematology and medical oncology.

Target Audience

This course is designed for hematologists, oncologists, internal medicine physicians, NPs, PAs and other internists with interest in hematology and medical oncology.  Others that may find this course beneficial include physicians needing MOC and those preparing for certification or recertification in hematology and medical oncology.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Utilize evidence-based practice to manage patients with bleeding and/or clotting disorders
  • Choose appropriate molecular tests like next generation sequencing for cancer diagnosis
  • Integrate into practice the most current treatment options like immuno- or targeted-therapy for cancers
