Clinical Reviews and Primary Care Update seeks to update physicians on the latest recommendations of medical subspecialties important to the primary care physician. It is a comprehensive program consisting of lectures, workshops and panel discussions on topics of general interest in various areas of medicine.

Target Audience

This course is a comprehensive program for family physicians, general internists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses that need a review course on primary care subjects, and seek to gain new strategies of care.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, a learner should be able to 

  • Discuss preventative care for patients with IBD
  • Review board of medicine regulations
  • Review developments in Parkinson’s disease
  • Discuss tools for diagnosing depression
  • Discuss behavioral management of obesity
  • Identify new evidence-based treatment, using the most up-to-date clinical and scientific information
  • Discuss current diagnostic and therapeutic options for common illnesses seen in primary care

Coastal view rooms are reserved for attendees and their guests at the group rate of $275 per night plus applicable taxes. In order to receive the special rate, reservations must be made before the room block is filled or before the expiration date of May 29, 2020, whichever comes first. The resort has extended the group rate three days prior and three days after the course based on availability. Check-in time is after 4 p.m. and check-out time is before noon. Guests receive complimentary in-room internet service. Rooms are limited so we encourage early booking. All parking at the resort is provided by valet service. Overnight parking at the resort is $12 per night and day parking is complimentary.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

Request for cancellations must be submitted in writing to cme@mayo.edu. When cancelling a registration for a course 14 days or more before the course start date, a full refund (minus a $75 administrative fee) will be issued in the same form of payment the registration was received. No refunds are granted less than 14 days before the course start date.
