Clinical Reviews seeks to update physicians on the latest recommendations involving the medical subspecialties important for the primary care physician through a comprehensive program consisting of lectures, panel and roundtable discussions on problems of general interest in various areas of medicine, surgery, and pediatrics relevant to clinical practice.

Mayo Clinic staff are faculty for this comprehensive program of lectures, small group luncheon roundtables, and in-depth evening discussions.  Identical programs will be presented during both the October and November sessions.

Target Audience

This course is designed for general internists, family physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and nurses in primary care and family medicine.

Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the appropriate immunizations which should be given to both children and adults for protection against preventable infectious diseases.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the current USPSTF cancer screening and other preventative care guidelines. 
  • Describe updated recommendations for BP goals in the elderly and other patient populations.
