Mayo Clinic's Epic Reboot Camp Inpatient - 2021 is a four hour intense, focused, and immersive experience. It is developed by Mayo Clinic providers, taught by Mayo Clinic providers, and focuses on Mayo Clinic providers. It focuses on efficiency rather than function and illuminates the skills and configurations required to run the inpatient service as efficiently as possible. After describing the reasoning for the workflow recommendations, we will hardwire each build or skill with a Learning Lab/personalization experience. This lets the participant learn by task repetition, individualized debunking, and mindful personnel reconfiguration. Topics include navigation through Patient List, Chart Review, Documentation (including Fluency Direct), Admission/Discharge Navigator/Orders, Order Entry and more! The sessions are offered virtually via live stream.
Target Audience
This course is designed for physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other allied health staff who utilize the EHR to provide patient care.
Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Develop skills in efficient documentation
- Use patient list columns and reports
- Review the concept of an encounter
- Identify and configure Chart Review tools for maximum efficiency
- Review the Summary Overview Reports as well as associated reports
