Target Audience

This course is designed for primary care providers, internists, family physicians, advanced nurse practitioners, and physician assistants who provide care for elderly patients, including those living in the community, assisted living and nursing home settings.

  • Develop a pragmatic approach towards clinical assessment of the older driver
  • Review latest updates and management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in the elderly
  • Discuss cases and conundrums involving antibiotic stewardship in long-term care
  • Identify practical steps towards mindful medication reconciliation
