In this CME webinar, Mayo Clinic experts will discuss the state of Regenerative Medicine in current Sports Medicine practice. Shane A. Shapiro, M.D., Associate Professor of Orthopedics, and Mayo Clinic Faculty will review the current applications and limitations of first generation cell therapy for orthopedic and sports injuries, discuss ongoing clinical research, and explore the strategies used to counsel patients about their Orthobiologic treatment options.

Learning Objectives

  • Describe ongoing clinical research for next generation orthobiologic therapies (Domain 2, Task: 0205)
