Mayo Clinic's Transfusion Medicine and Cellular Therapy Symposium offer attendees an update on current thinking in donor practice. This course is designed for physicians in transfusion medicine, transplant, trauma, emergency medicine, critical care and internal medicine along with surgeons, anesthesiologists, residents, fellows, medical technologists, clinical laboratory scientists, nurses, PAs and NPs.
Upon completion of the Mayo Clinic Transfusion Medicine Symposium, attendees should be able to appraise, integrate and apply current paradigms in donor practice and management, apply advances in pathogen reduction technology; evaluate and execute novel therapies in cellular therapeutics, and provide best practice and evidence-based blood component therapy for solid organ and bone marrow transplant recipients.
