PRESENTATION TITLE: Beyond Survival: Optimizing Functional Outcomes and Quality of Life in Breast Cancer Care

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to: 

  • Define comprehensive cancer rehabilitation and its role within the breast cancer care continuum.
  • Identify the specific, highly prevalent physical impairments resulting from breast cancer and its treatments (surgery, radiation, and systemic therapies).
  • Recognize the profound underutilization of rehabilitation services in the breast cancer population and identify common barriers to referral.
  • Summarize the clinical benefits of cancer rehabilitation and how integrating a Prospective Surveillance Model (PSM) improves patient outcomes
