January 28, 2026 - Mayo Clinic - Rochester, Minnesota

Join the Lewy Body Dementia Association as we launch our 2026 community webinar series with a special event commemorating the birthday of Dr. Friedrich Lewy, the pioneering neurologist whose discovery of Lewy bodies transformed the field of neurodegenerative disease. This live-stream webinar will explore the lesser-known history of Dr. Lewy’s life and scientific contributions, shaped by the sociopolitical forces of his time. Through expert-led storytelling and historical insight, we’ll reflect on how his legacy continues to inform today’s understanding of Lewy body dementia and inspire future innovation in care and research. In addition to virtual access, the event will be broadcast for a live viewing party at the Leighton Auditorium in the Siebens Building at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. We invite local attendees to join us in person for this special gathering of community, history, and shared purpose.

This event is designed for neurologists, psychiatrists, geriatricians, primary care providers, nurses and other clinicians involved in dementia care.
