DESCRIPTION
The Neurology subspecialty conference is a weekly conference held at 12:15-1:00 presented by various subspecialists in a rotating fashion from within Department of Neurology, residents and fellows. The areas encompassed include sleep, multiple sclerosis/autoimmune neurology, neurologic education, child neurology, speech pathology, neuro-ophthalmology, behavioral neurology, movement disorders, epilepsy, neuro-oncology, autonomic, muscle disorders and peripheral nervous systems diseases.
In-Person and Live-Streamed; Weekly on Fridays from 12:15-1:00 p.m.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Allied Health Professionals, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physicians, Physician Assistants, Resident Fellows, Speech Language Pathologists, Students and Technologists.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Review updates in the diagnostic evaluation of neurologic patients.
- Determine the long-term management of neurologic disease.

Completion Requirements
Learners must complete both the course and faculty evaluations at the end of the course in order to receive a certificate of completion.
Note: Learners who are requesting ASHA CEUs will receive a copy of the ASHA CE Participant form at check-in for the course. The form must be fully completed and handed in to CPD Staff in order to be reported for ASHA CEUs.

Heather Clark, Ph.D. | Dr. Clark is the Chair of Speech Pathology in the Department of Neurology and Associate Professor in the College of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She is board-certified by the Academy of Neurologic Communication Disorders and Sciences and is a Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Her clinical responsibilities include differential diagnosis of communication and swallowing disorders in adults and children. She serves as co-investigator in several projects examining the nature of speech, language, and swallowing impairment in degenerative neurologic disease. Dr. Clark has served as a topic chair for the ASHA convention, program chair of the Conference on Motor Speech, and chair of the fall conference of the North Carolina Speech Language Hearing Association. |
