The 2023 Mayo Clinic Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary Cancer Symposium will provide a multidisciplinary overview on the importance of early diagnosis and treatment considerations, including surgery, radiation, loco-regional approaches, and systemic therapies. Nationally and internationally renowned faculty will offer state-of-the-art updates on current treatment options for patients with hepato-pancreatico-biliary cancers. This timely education will be delivered through case-based discussions, interactive Q&A, and didactic presentations. Target Audience
This course is intended for surgeons, gastroenterologists, medical and radiation oncologists, laboratory scientists, and allied health professionals in the following specialties: medical oncology, hematology, gastroenterology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, pathology, radiology, and laboratory research science.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe innovative options for patients with pancreas, liver and biliary cancers with limited oligometastatic disease.
- Identify current and emerging strategies for early diagnosis of liver cancer.
- Identify patients suitable for a liver transplantation, surgical resection, radiation therapy, or other loco-regional approaches.
- Integrate novel molecularly-targeted strategies in clinical trial participation.
- Recognize the appropriate regimen for first and second line therapy in treating advanced pancreatic cancer, liver and biliary cancer.
- Describe the latest state of the science in pancreatic cancer, liver and biliary cancer.
