20th Annual Women's Health Update 2024 LIVESTREAM (virtual)

This three-day conference (live/livestream format) addresses a variety of health issues that are unique to women and/or highlight medical conditions that may cause different symptoms in women or affect women differently than men and thus, may require different treatment or prevention protocols. The selected topics are clinically relevant and aimed at physicians and advanced practice providers. Conference sessions are led by subject matter experts from the Mayo faculty with case-based presentations, practice pearls, and interactive Q & A sessions. Optional small group discussions address topics that are challenging for a healthcare team. This is a must attend conference for healthcare professionals who provide care to women.

Target Audience
This conference is designed for primary care physicians, general internists, gynecologists, specialists in preventative care, and other health care professionals (PAs, NPs and RNs) who have an interest in women’s health.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe the role of menopausal hormone therapy for managing menopausal symptoms
- Formulate a plan to manage the abnormal uterine bleeding
- Develop plans for the management of health conditions in women, including sexual dysfunction, pain, kidney and heart disease
- Distinguish how to identify women at high risk of breast cancer
- Describe how to evaluate fibroids in an equitable way
- Recognize the influence of estrogen deprivation in cardiovascular disease in women
