Mayo Clinic's 26th Edition “Teach the Teachers” Advanced Elbow Surgical Skills Course Forge the Future: Stiff Elbow is an advanced level course designed for orthopedic surgeons with a special interest in upper extremity trauma, elbow surgery and trauma surgery. The course provides technical skills orientation, with the didactic portions limited to the necessary introductions and theoretical knowledge required for the technical components. Live surgical broadcasts used during lecture sessions demonstrate surgical techniques pertaining to this year's topic of stiff elbow as well as other areas of elbow orthopedics.
Helping us to ‘Forge the Future’ will be our special guest and world-renowned teacher of elbow surgery, Professor Roger van Riet from Antwerp, Belgium.

Target Audience
This live and livestream course is open to physicians, residents, fellows, physician assistants and physical therapists interested in advanced elbow surgery.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe the etiologies of elbow contractures
- Describe how pain can mediate contractures
- Describe the technique for releasing elbow contractures through the medial and lateral columns
- Describe the location of the three major nerves as they pass the elbow
