The Mayo Clinic Mechanical Ventilation Conference provides high-quality education and immersive hands-on training in adult, pediatric, and neonatal mechanical ventilation management. The conference brings together physicians, respiratory therapists, and frontline respiratory care providers, and includes advanced sessions on point-of-care ultrasound and electrical impedance tomography (EIT)

Target Audience

The Mayo Clinic Mechanical Ventilation Conference is designed for critical care providers, respiratory therapists, physicians, physician assistants, nurses and nurse practitioners.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe core adult–pediatric physiologic differences that guide ventilator mode selection and titration.
  • Demonstrate waveform-based recognition and correction of patient–ventilator dyssynchrony in adult and pediatric cases.
  • Apply evidence-informed ventilation, ARDS, and liberation strategies across adult and pediatric ICU patients.
