The Mayo Clinic Mechanical Ventilation Conference provides high-quality education and immersive hands-on training in adult, pediatric, and neonatal mechanical ventilation management. The conference brings together physicians, respiratory therapists, and frontline respiratory care providers, and includes advanced sessions on point-of-care ultrasound and electrical impedance tomography (EIT).

Call for Abstracts:
As part of the Mechanical Ventilation Conference, abstract submissions of original research or case reports dedicated to the field of mechanical ventilation are invited for digital display. Abstracts can be clinical or laboratory based. Abstracts should be 300 words or less and may include one figure or table. The abstracts are not accredited; no CME credit will be awarded.
Display of Abstracts:
Abstracts chosen will be displayed digitally during the conference breaks and uploaded to the conference website; there is no oral presentation.
Abstract Eligibility:
Original abstracts or case reports that either have or have not been presented at other meetings will be considered. Previously published abstracts should be sufficiently modified.
Submission Criteria:

Requirements:
In-person registration for the course is required.
All costs associated with the poster are the responsibility of the authors.
Notification of Results: All primary authors will be notified within 2 weeks of the submission deadline if their submission has been selected. Details regarding file format and due date of abstract will be included in the selection confirmation email.
Registration Requirements: If selected, at least one author listed on the abstract must register and attend the conference in-person.
Target Audience
The Mayo Clinic Mechanical Ventilation Conference is designed for critical care providers, respiratory therapists, physicians, physician assistants, nurses and nurse practitioners.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe core adult–pediatric physiologic differences that guide ventilator mode selection and titration.
- Demonstrate waveform-based recognition and correction of patient–ventilator dyssynchrony in adult and pediatric cases.
- Apply evidence-informed ventilation, ARDS, and liberation strategies across adult and pediatric ICU patients.

RESERVATION DUE DATE: Lodging room reservations should be received by Monday, November 9, 2026 after which, all unsold rooms remaining in Group contracted room block will be returned to Snowbird’s inventory for sale to the
public. Reservations received after the due date or exceeding the contracted room block will be accepted on a space available basis. At Snowbird’s discretion, Group rooms and rates may be extended to assist Group in reaching the lodging room commitment as outlined in the Performance/Attrition clause of this contract. Should room type(s) listed in your contract no longer be available after the reservation due date or contracted room block has been filled, Snowbird will offer alternate room types from remaining inventory, which may require a higher rate.
RESERVATION METHOD--Individual Call-in or Online reservations: Guests will make own lodging reservations directly through Snowbird Central Reservations by calling 1-800-453-3000. Guests must identify as Group attendees to receive the discounted Group rates and help minimize potential Performance/Attrition damages to the Group. ROOM CHARGES--Individuals Pay All Charges: Guests will be responsible for payment of own lodging, taxes, fees, and incidental charges at time of check-out. A credit card and identification are required at check-in.
LODGING DEPOSIT for Individuals: A one-night deposit per room for room rate, taxes and fees is required at the time the reservation is made by phone. Final balance for the entire stay will be automatically charged to the credit card on file three (3) days prior to scheduled arrival date. Online reservations require full payment at time of booking as a deposit.
GUEST ROOM DELIVERIES: Requests by Group to deliver items to attendee guest rooms can be accommodated by Snowbird with at least two weeks’ notice to ensure sufficient staffing. Pricing upon request.
PARKING: Self-parking is complimentary for Snowbird guests at all lodges. The Cliff Lodge offers valet parking currently at $20 per vehicle per day. Price subject to change. Guests are responsible for own valet charges unless arranged otherwise in advance by Group to bill attendee valet charges on Group master account.
All travel and lodging expenses are the sole responsibility of the individual registrant.
