Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) is a multidisciplinary, multi-modal approach to perioperative care. Evidence-based medicine is employed to optimize the patient’s pre-, intra-, and post-operative course promoting early recovery while post-op complications and costs are reduced. This conference will also focus on multi-modality pain management which allows for reduction in post-operative opioid use. This proactive approach is evidence-based medicine conducted in a coordinated, integrated and multidisciplinary fashion.

- Reduce reliance on post-operative narcotics by using multi-modality pain management strategies

- Describe how intraoperative interventions regarding fluids, PONV prophylaxis, pain management, etc., can improve patient outcomes in the post-operative period.
Nurses:
- Interpret the science and evidence behind ERAS protocol recommendations and improve ERAS protocol compliance.
Hospital Administrators:
- Recognize their role in facilitating the logistics of bringing together multidisciplinary teams that will improve patient outcomes and reduce costs.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

When cancelling a registration for a course 14 days or more before the course start date, a full refund (minus a $75 administrative fee) will be issued in the same form of payment the registration was received.
