8th Annual Radiation Oncology Education for the Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant - Live (in-person)

October 9 - 11, 2025 - Loews Coronado Bay Resort - Coronado, California
The objective of the course is to increase our knowledge and to bring together our practice initiatives including treatment and coordination of care among Advanced Practice Providers of Radiation Oncology. Information will be discussed with all of the advanced practice providers within the specialty regarding symptom management and care of the patient undergoing radiation treatments.
Target Audience
This course is designed for nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify the implications for radiation treatment in the curative and palliative setting.
- Recognize how to manage side effects for a patient undergoing radiation treatment.
- Describe how radiobiology is utilized to design and treat different tumor types such as prostate and lung cancers.
- Recognize how to manage side effects for a patient undergoing post treatment surveillance.
