The 2020 Mayo Clinic Physician Assistant Board Review course is a comprehensive review designed to help with initial and recertification examinations and to provide a relevant review for daily practice. Target Audience

This course is designed for physician assistants preparing to take the initial PANCE or the PANRE.  This course also provides a comprehensive review of general medicine applicable to physician assistants and nurse practitioners.

Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Apply clinical reasoning to common symptoms of common medical problems.
  • Apply clinical reasoning to uncommon manifestations of common medical problems.
  • Apply clinical reasoning to common symptoms of uncommon medical problems.
  • Review key images and key points of general medical issues.
  • Apply and implement strategies regarding evaluation and management of general medicine diseases.
  • Review clinical presentation, diagnosis, and management of conditions encountered by PAs and NPs. 
  • Apply evidence-based principles to clinical practice. 
  • Identify content areas of personal strength and weakness to help focus additional self-study.

Travel

Rochester, Minnesota, is a friendly city that greets thousands of visitors from around the world each year. The city is serviced by a modern international airport with multiple flights daily via American. Access to and from the airport is provided by taxi, shuttle service, and rental car. The airport is located approximately 10 miles from the Mayo Clinic campus.

Note to Travelers: Several cities in the United States are named Rochester. When you make airline reservations and check your baggage, be sure that your destination is Rochester, Minnesota (RST) and that your baggage has been properly tagged.

Flying through the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport (MSP) is another option. There are two shuttle services that provide direct service to Mayo Clinic and the surrounding area. Travel time is approximately 75 minutes.
