Pre-course Critical Care Skills Workshop - 11:00am - 4:45pm

This pre-course workshop is an intensive half-day workshop with focus on point of care ultrasound (POCUS) for the hospitalized patient that integrates both didactic and simulation based learning into an experiential learning curriculum that emphasizes knowledge and practice behavior. It arms the participant with the knowledge and skills to assess and intervene at the bedside.

Targeted audience includes hospital based Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants was well as physician hospitalists.
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Articulate standardized procedure for ultrasound guided central line placement.
- Recognize anatomic landmarks and approach when completing FAST exam.

The airport is located approximately 10 miles from the Mayo Clinic campus.
Note to Travelers: Several cities in the United States are named Rochester. When you make airline reservations and check your baggage, be sure that your destination is Rochester, Minnesota (RST) and that your baggage has been properly tagged.
