Palliative Care 2023 CNE Nursing Conference

This CNE conference will explore a variety of topics impacting all members of the healthcare team related to palliative care. Topics include ethics, cultural care, caregiver self-care, difficult discussions, pharmacology, supporting children during parent illness, integrative therapies, experiential learning, sexuality & intimacy, and a caregiver story.
Target Audience
This CNE conference is designed for nurses working in palliative medicine, palliative care, and social workers.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Outline the role of the nurse when providing care for palliative patients
- Identify practical ethics, grief and loss symptoms, and ways to support children in palliative care
- Describe updates in therapies including integrative, pharmacological, cultural, dignity, end of life, sexuality, and caregiver self-care

Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive 13.5 clinical continuing education credits.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
Welcome to the Palliative Care 2023 CNE Nursing Conference. Course materials will be available online in the course outline 1 week prior the start of the conference.
Request for cancellations must be submitted in writing to cne@mayo.edu.
If the cancellation is made prior to the start of the activity, a refund less an administration fee of $25 will be issued. If the cancellation is made after the start of the activity, no refund will be issued. All refunds will be made using the same method as the original payment.

A webcam and microphone is required for optimal attendance and participation in the livestream conference.
