Target Audience
This course is designed for physicians and allied health professionals who provide care for children, particularly in the ambulatory care setting.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify key points of engagement in the cascade of pediatric TB care for primary care physicians and highlight the essential role of primary care in supporting public health efforts.
- Provide updates on epidemiology, diagnosis and treatment of pediatric latent TB infection and active tuberculosis.
- Encourage practice-based activities to more precisely and comprehensively identify pediatric patients and family members at risk of latent tuberculosis infection.
