The Women in Gastroenterology & Hepatology online course is delivered entirely by women of national and international recognition in the fields of gastroenterology and hepatology. The course highlights a spectrum of topics related to clinical care, education, clinical-basic science research and professional development. The course is designed to meet the professional needs of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and individuals with an interest in gastroenterology and hepatology.

Content for this course was developed from the 2022 livestream Women in Gastroenterology & Hepatology Showcase course.

Target Audience

The target audience includes physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and anyone with an interest in gastroenterology and hepatology.

Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize appropriate management options for Barrett’s Dysplasia.
  • Analyze the training, reading, and reporting for small bowel video capsule endoscopy.
  • Measure various guidelines for the use of anti-TNF Agents in Pregnancy IBD patients.
  • Interpret the AGA Clinical Practice Guideline on the Management of Coagulation Disorders in Patients with Cirrhosis.
  • Summarize the ergonomic strategies to help mitigate risks for musculoskeletal injuries in endoscopy.
  • Associate local, national, and international leadership and coaching experiences.
