
Advanced Laryngectomy Rehabilitation: Hands-on TEP Management 7:30 am - 12:15 pm

This workshop will share current trends and practices in post-laryngectomy rehabilitation and offer the attendees an opportunity to participate in voice prosthesis care and management. Following a didactic session of information sharing regarding voice, swallowing and pulmonary challenges in the TL population, a demonstration with patient volunteers will allow attendees to learn techniques of tracheoesophageal voice prosthesis placement and assist in prosthesis and HME selection. Participants will be able to examine and trouble-shoot the use of custom products and accessories for the total laryngectomee.
