The Combining US with EMG workshop will focus on the use of neuromuscular ultrasound to enhance the electrophysiologic work up of nerve and muscle disease. Areas covered will include sonographic diagnosis of entrapment neuropathies (median, ulnar, peroneal), muscle ultrasound to identify nerve and muscle disease (and its role in targeting needle exam and biopsy), review of ultrasound guided needle examination of challenging muscles to ensure accurate needle placement (including chest wall muscles)  - with optional hands on needle guidance practical session, and ultrasound and electrodiagnostic evaluation of diaphragm function.
