DESCRIPTION
The Professionalism & Values Seminar Series focuses on values embraced at Mayo Clinic since the Clinic was founded. Values and professionalism in the practice are central to the Mayo Model of Care and are reflected in the Clinic's primary value.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is intended for a multidisciplinary audience (physicians and mid-level health care providers), PhDs, researchers, education specialists, RN, and allied health staff.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
1. Identify how professional behaviors promote a culture of safety
2. Identify diversity issues and initiate solutions to build on the strengths of all employees.
3. Explain how clinical ethics, patient safety, teamwork, accountability and communication relate to professional behavior and ethical conduct.
