Introduction

Dr. Bommersbach is originally from Grand Forks, ND, Tanner is currently a second-year child and adolescent psychiatry fellow at Mayo Clinic. He received his medical degree from Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, an MPH in health policy from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and completed residency in adult psychiatry at Yale University. During his training, his research has focused on the epidemiology of suicide.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe differences in risk factors for suicide attempts between early adolescents and adults.
  • Summarize the adult outcomes of early adolescents who attempt suicide.
